Never rated Mer on cars (haven't tried it on the van). I reckon the stuff's rubbish (on cars at least), wouldn't give it shelf space.
I used Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler on my caravan, you add it to the rinse water, no need for polish or wax. Seemed OK, but difficult to tell as I haven't had it long & it was stood for 2 years before I got it, so needed a good clean anyway.
My car always gets a thorough wash with a normal wash & wax type detergent, followed by polish where needed & a good coat of hard wax (might be old fashioned, but I've yet to see any better). I don't get the same satisfaction from cleaning the van, it's too big & too tall. So I'm always looking for a short-cut, which is why I bought the Bobby Dazzler. Good stuff I reckon, but still needs chamois-ing off afterwards IMO.
Anyway, doesn't this forum have a search facility? I'm sure this subject has been covered many times before.
Yep agree with you Michael,took me a couple of weeks to "sus"how the search bar works,not only that ive found there is sometimes more info on a duplicate thread.
Found Fenwicks okay for washing and shampooing but that is about it. We use either Mer which is excellent and brings up a nice shine or Autoglym polish.

I don't know what Demon Shine is, I can tell you that Bobby Dazzler is an additive you put in the rinsing water. It's hydrophobic, so repels water & helps the 'van dry to a nice shine.
However, if the 'van is very dirty I would suggest giving it a good going over with the caravan cleaner first, then rinsing with clean water thoroughly before rinsing with the Bobby Dazzler.
It does leave it nice & shiny though, & is supposed to coat it, making it harder for dirt to get a hold & easier to clean next time.
They advise against waxes & wax-polishes, as these can actually trap a layer dirt & grit, making it that much harder to get off next time.
(This is all Fenwicks sales jargon, so not sure how much of it is true. It made sense to me though, when I was reading it. Many moons ago I used to clean cars for a living, but what works on cars won't necessarily work on caravans. Like the Mer, it's rubbish on cars, but many people on here reckon it's good on caravans. Think I'll just carry on with the Bobby Dazzler, it's so much easier than anything I've used before).
