Looking to go to europe this year with our new (to us) folding caravan. Can anyone advise if this is classed as a caravan or a trailer when using Eurotunnel. I e.mailed them and their answer was fairly vague so I wanted advice from someone who has done it before. Their answer was if its like a trailer tent then its a trailer, but our folding caravan is bigger than a TT.
We took our Pathfinder on the Tunnel, it was/is classed as a trailer.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
seems to be whatever you want it to be with F/Cs, as said, nowhere has the classification for one.
I would go with trailer, as IMO its the height of a caravan that they take into account.
we use LD lines ferries and find that they have a section for caravan/large trailer which is the one we fit into. Go for large trailer if you can but check if they give measurements. We are far to large to fit under the small trailer section but they have a range of heights and lengths to choose from for the caravan/large trailer section.
Also go for the cheapest option if you can. Certainly you are a trailer when folded down if you can fit into trailer sizes.
