Hi does anyone have advise for removing sellotape/ masking tape residue from a window. Stupidly i stuck the site permit to the window and forgot to remove it.

i use WD40 and white spirit.if that does not work buy sticky stuff remover,that's amazing stuff.

Don't use nail varnish remover like what I did on a brand new washing machine door ... turns it opaque

Silicone spray is quite a good remover. Also effective on tar spots.

UPVC solvent cleaner gets everything off including bichimen. buy it from a good UPVC company, make sure you where gloves.

Most upvc spirit cleaners will soften plastic products if not wiped off immediatly, personnaly I wouldnt use it on a caravan window. I think I would use a tissue damped with white spirit.

Thanks, i would normaly use white spirit on other sufaces. But was sure if it might mark plastic window.

I used to have a sweet shop. To remove resididue of glue from sweet jars (plastic and glass). I used cooking oil. Apply liberaly leave to soak then wash off with warm soapy water. In your van you will need to protect walls and cushions from oil spots.
