Hi all. I bought a new Sterling Eccles Quartz van in May and paid cash in full to Discover at Leeds. I rang yesterday to book in for warrenty work and found out they had gone into Administration. I have a 6 year warrenty with the caravan where do i stand now? Is the warrenty with Sterling or Discover? can i book into any sterling dealership for service warrenty issues?
yes we have known about it for some time. they are only a dealer so ring swift/sterling to see where you stand on warranties and where to go for service.ask also if a mobile service engineer can do it and maintain the warranty.

Thanks Michael i have contacted Swift whos website directed me to Dickensons in Bradford. I spoke to a very helpful man there who said they can sort my warranty issues out and do our services etc. I had no idea that Discover were in trouble, they opened in Leeds just up from where i live they were only there for about 3 months but were brilliant, but i suppose when someone is handing over £15000 you will be?!!!
You can come onto this site very concerned at where you stand & what on earth do I do.Especially when you either have spent alot, or all you can afford.
Yet the legal eyes of Michael helps you go to where it is sorted out.
It is good to know there is someone who can help to tell you what to do or tell you where to go forward to help yourself. So taking the pressure off.
Thanks for being there Michael, just to know who to ask.
your welcome. just a little cog in a big wheel as there are lots of very helpful people on here not forgetting admin who looks after us all daily.just my opinion but i do not think there is a better camping and caravaning site on the net to beat ukcs.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

That's for sure had I known abiut this site before summer of last year I would not have wasted the apprx. £1500 of savings. But before I knew it was wasted I had plenty of help from admin & members to what I should do. Then went it all went south (further than the South we are) I then have got help for the Pennine Fiesta as this was a first fc for us. Not tt as we had them before. Did not realise till we got it just how much difference between the two there are. It was the reading of the sites members experiences that got us on the sid of the fc as well as our own experiences. So many have valuable information to those not knowing at times what to do or totally stuck. Even when mistakes are made and nothing can be done, realising others have made the same mistakes and willing to pass that inofmation on helps us out.
Many thanks to you and admin & all that have helped us out personally.
Yes, thank you Michael, you have been around in " Blue"! LOL for years, and have helped so many people! I am more of a dipper! if you know what I mean, I dip into the site then don't for a while then back again! I think you need a UK Campsite award!
