i have got a bullseye caravan leveler, where is the best place to position it when setting up ?if i put it on the carpet i get different readings in different positions on the carpet and if i position it on the worktop this gives me a different reading
I use a builders spirit level and put it on the side rail of the van and, on the back and front.Tried inside with other levels but got different readings.
I use a fence post level to give me both front to back and side to side at the same time and place just inside the door on the floor. I used to put it on the A-Frame but it's only really when you get in bed you feel how unlevel it is.
Never had a problem just inside the door. Bed is perfectly level.
Cheers
Richard

Life is a Roller coaster and we will be on loads this year...
I have always used the triangular 2 way level,i level van both ways with meter long builders level on bottom skirt rail and crossways on work top, then put 2 way level on bulkhead shelf inside front window with bluetak under and pressing down until shows level in both directions, stays there till i sell van then just pulls off and goes on next one.
I bought one of those triangular two way spirit levels, and placed it on the front window ledge where I could see it through the window. I then made sure that the van was perfectly level using a 3 foot spirit level, then I adjusted the level tubes in the triangular one until they showed the van level. I then put some super glue at each end of the tubes to lock them in position. That now works perfect every time.

Me too then a final check with a spirit level thats on the front shelf where I can see it from the jockey wheel. Not worried if its not absolutely spot on.
I got the caravan absolutely level on the drive, and then carefully glued the spirit level onto the A frame with quick setting epoxy. This makes it dead easy to level on site. Side to side levelling is the most difficult, sometimes manoeuvring on the pitch with the motor mover will find a level spot, otherwise it is out with the ramp. levelling front to back is then simply done with the jockey wheel. Finally legs down, and a final check of the level.
