does anyone know where I can get a replacement strap which holds back the sliding door of the bedroom? It is plastic and screwed  to the wall and attaches to a small latch on the door. It has a metal button hole which fits over the latch which you then twist to hold it there.

Have you tried calling Avondale they may have a spares dept.  We have just bought a new to us Bailey Pageant and there is a couple of small bits that need replaceing, Bailey have a excellent parts department where all the little bits I need are listed (including a door restraining strap!), I don't think it is quite the same as what you are describing though.
