Is it possible to check the age of a caravan, going to look at one but don`t think it is the age they say. There`s no cris reg so I think it is older than a 92.
not possible to say without some direction,ie a plate by the door containing the numbers.post 92 should have windows etched.it could have a plate on the drawbar.a photo may possibly be identified by a reader.ie shape and style.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Thanks Micheal. not sure how to add a photo but the caravan has a roof join with makes it look an older caravan.
The one I`m looking at is a Coachman Vip 460/4 advertised as a 96 but the pictures look like it could be older. Not that sure though, going to see it tonight but was hoping for some ideas first.
Post a piccy from the front quarter . Some people on here know the model changeover years by the detail of where lights are mounted and window layout . Heating systems and type of toilet will give the knowledgeable ones a clue too . If the price is right for the condition , then a year or so either way may not be important at 20 years of age .
Yes , looking at the front and side as though standing back from the corner . I am afraid I am useless at adding pictures to posts but I am sure someone will be along soon to advise . I can suggest you post the link to the advert for it if that is possible .
Omg Alan I wouldn`t even know how to post link. Also if I did someone might buy it before me. Gosh I`m crap. Hopefully it will be great when we look at it, going in 40 mins wish me luck. Tin tent here I come
Keep this page open and open a new tab then go to the page on which the ad appears . Right click the www. wherever line in the address bar and select COPY from the options . Go to the tab with this page on it , go to the Post Reply box , right click in the box and select PASTE from the options . If you get the www address showing in the Post Reply box you have done it ! Don`t worry if it doesn`t happen , it took 10 years for me to learn how to do it .
Just had a look at the ad , looks from the fridge and interior to be post 1990 but , as you say , no CRIS number
is a problem for a `van advertised as a 1996 . Price is right on the money if it is all good so would the age matter ?
I though as much, we`ve been looking for ages now, first we wanted one under £1000 for winter use. Then decided to pay more but they seem to have gone up so much. Going to have to talk to the oh when he gets home from work not sure now what to do.
It looks like the 460 series started in 1991 , only a visit to see it is going to work , if you like it you can offer a £1000.00 cash and meet your target , you would not be being cheeky from looking at the valuation list link .
There is a 94 listed below for comparison .
