Newbie question....

We have a Thetford Cassette loo in our Caravan and having completed our first weekend away I removed the cassette and drained it out at the site.

However, getting it to go back in the slot was a real struggle?

The grey plastic cover was the right way around with the arrows lined up etc - but the casste would only go alout half way in without puting up a real fight?

I got it in eventually - but it was very stiff to remove and when I pulled it out the grey plastic cover flew off.

I had much the same set up on my old folding camper and never had a problem. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong?

Also check the pressure relief valve which is located on the top of the cassette and check to see if it springs up and down. If it sticks you need to replace it as mine was sticking which restricted the removal and replacing of the toilet cassette. To identify the item see link:

Hi all,

Seems I fitted the little lid on the wrong way around after I'd drained and cleaned the loo at the campsite. Ahem, you live and learn!!
