Providing you give them a good signal they work very well. Both of our daughters had them at uni and they proved ideal. The fact that you can have one window with TVin it and be writing an essay in another was a great hit! (She is a doctor now, so it worked!).
You get pause TV and 2 channel record with most versions too.
Yes i use one still need an ariel though as the ones that come with is crap. Only problems that i have encountered is when my mobile phone goes off the picture freezes and the programme needs re-booting, other than much better than lugging a tv & laptop about
We were in W. Dorset a couple of weeks ago and they have switched over to full digital service. We had superb reception from our flying saucer type Status aerial - so there is life in those old dogs yet!
hi there I have been using a laptop for a tv for a few years now I also have Windows media centre remote control. the usb Digital TV stick I use now is a climax digital bought this year just over £14 from Amazon works a treat, but has been previously said they need a good signal I take a rooftop TV aerial with me. It is best not to use any power saving mode or screensavers they may conflict
have tried 3 different ones so far at various prices, to be honest none of them have ever worked for me , have tried them in a variety of areas too to no avail, now mine are all in the shed never to see the light of day again

I have the Haupage one and it works well at home but you do need a very good aerial.
Tried it in the van but not very good. Better to spend twice as much and buy a TV from Tesco for £110. At least the sound will be good. Absolute rubbish from a laptop!
