I understood that the engineer used must be one authorised by Swift and not just one authorised by the NCC. If he is not then Swift does not warrant the service (as it would using an authorised Swift repairer or service centre), nor will it rectify any defect which may arise as a result of such a service under your standard Swift warranty.  Using an unauthroised engineer leave ther door open for a claim that any defect has been caused by that engineer. That may be an argument you may not wish to have if you do find any problem with your van.

Whilst the cost may appear high, there is the possibility of additional costs later down the road if you use an unauthorised engineer. Whoever you wish to use ask Swift if that person is acceptable for the pusposes of your swift warranty.

Then there are your Sale of Goods Rights which last for a further five years. They are better protected against your original seller if you go back to it for your servicing. Again, too easy, if there is a defect, for the seller to blame your engineer rather than some inherent defect in the van.
