after asking advice on here we decided to go for an Outdoor Revolution Techlite porch awning - though we did swither when saw a Spacelite advertised cheap, we preferred the sound/look of the Techlite Pro....
Then googling came up with one for just £149.99 (free delivery too) from a company I'd not heard of previously - they are a small family-run business in Newquay, here...
and not only was the price good, they were also a pleasure to deal with - really efficient but friendly too & so helpful ! Purchased it over the phone on Tuesday morning along with skirt & rear pad poles was told it should arrive Thursday & it did so am well pleased with the service.
Big thanks to everyone on here who posted on the thread with too - especially andcow who told me aabout her own Techlite
Hi La-la, That’s good to know, as I find it hard to get a porch awning to fit my small van, I need an awning 230cm High, Max width 190cm, standard Depth, my van has slop from rear to front, look in my image gallery, may have to get one tailor made. Looking at link their Compactalite Pro 200 Awning, may just fit the bill, think I will give them a call. Stored link in my favourites. Thanks for that.

You might do better with a caravanstore canopy. They come in various widths.
Hello John - I do like your caravan, it's lovely !
We had a sun canopy once but we weren't very happy to go off for several hours leaving it up anywhere the wind was likely to whip up a bit. It was also very difficult to put up when it a bit breezy. We love going to the highlands so for us a porch awning is a better choice really ! Perhaps a sun canopy will be just fine for you though, I think it depends on the weather/ locations really. I certainly reccommend Sky Blue though - hope you get something nice

Hi La-la, That’s why I had not considered it before, as I tour the west coast, the amount of rope needed to hold it down would put me over my weight limit. Thank for comment on van, since that photo I have had new awning light fitted (the sensor type), the mover, and oven fitted, emergency side lights and emergency flasher fitted, ( in case of brake down at night), just finished re-sealing all the awning rails and window rail seals, including sky light and toilet vent seals last week, its only a two berth 1998, with cassette toilet and shower, still dry as a bone, would not part with it, not even for a motor home.( no offence to motor home owners).
