Does anyone know if there's something you can put around coat hangers to stop them falling down in transit. I really hate ironing & practically every time we get on site I find all my clothes at the bottom of the wardrobe grr! Anyone got any ideas how I can stop this happening?

We use a peice of foam pipe lagging, move all the hangers to one end and then put the foam over the hanging rail so it butts up to the hangers, never dropped one yet
This is the foam we use

We always used to tie bungee straps round ours, until someone told us that hanging them in alternate directions works. We tried it, and don't ask me how, but it really does work!

Hi, I have hanger only for van, bend the hanger hooks just enough to be able to pull them from rail, that works for me.------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.

All you need is two spring clips and a wood 1" x 2" x the same length as the rail and your hangers will not fall down. Been good for over ten years

Wow brilliant ideas, thanks very much. Oh the idea of putting the hangers in opposite directions would drive hubby mad he said lol...OCD! I like to annoy him though so I might try this ;o)

The putting each hanger in the opposite direction seems to work. If we're away for a long time then jamming the clothes in obviously works but for a 2 nighter when we don't have that much if I do the alternate hanger thing everything is fine. Its weird but the first thing I do now once we have arrived is open up the wardrobe door!!

Wow i'm going to try the hangers in opposite directions!
Hope it works or all our clothes will need ironing again once we're on site!!
I usually just lie all ours on the bed and hang them once we're on site, but tdhey do get a bit flatdtened!
