hello everyone. I hope someone can help me with my query. We have a 2008 Knaus Starclass 590 caravan built to Uk spec. We have not had it long and on looking under the side seats we have found 2 square cushions. We thought they may have been to extend the seating area to all round seating once the small cabinet/ fold out table was removed. We tried this but found the cushions were not as deep as the existing seating, so are not for the double bed. We now have no idea where they fit, any suggestions.

Are they the backrests for a rear diner or arm rests for the very front of the van ?

Have you got a seating area which turns into a single bed with a bunk on top ?The cushions could be for the top bunk.

Yeah ,good point Jeff ,our rear diner seating and back rests are double thickness to allow for enough cushions to cover the 2 bunk beds .If your rear seats are currently only single thickness ,then there is your answer

no they are not for a rear diner or bunkbeds as we have not got these in our van. What we have is 2 fixed single twin beds with the washroom behind them.

Kitchen - no seating. Lounge area with seating on both sides with a removeable cabinet between in the front window. If we remove the cabinet we find that the cushions are not deep enough to line up with the side seating + they are too thick to be backrests.  The only solution that I can come up with (if we want wrap round seating area) is to have a new seating cushion made + backrest or to breakup the plain cream leather upholstery is to have a bolster cushion as the backrest in a co-ordinating fabric.

They might be from another van and the fitters just put them out of the way.  These things happen. Its different I know, but we bought a new awning, and on unpacking fount a bundle if vynal strips about 7" long and 11/4" wide and rounded at each end.   with a 1" long slit towards each end.  There were about 50 of them held with a band and were the same colour as the skirt.  No mention of them in the instructions, vendor didn't know what they were for, and we never found out.  Past the puzzle on to new owner when I sold it. Still a mistery!
