We've just come back from a long weekend with our new to us van and Rally 260. After not getting on (and finding it too small for our needs) with an Isabella Minor it was with a bit of apprehension that we set about putting up the Kampa. We needed have worried, it was simplicity itself, we had it up and pegged out on less than 20 mins and theres so much useable space. It took me a while to decide between this and the Kampa Fiesta 350 (which I've discovered wont fit our van anyway due to window position). We managed to fit a decent sized table, 4 chairs, a smaller table, shoe box and store the bbq in there. The extra 50cms over the Isabella really makes a difference and I like the mesh option on the doors.
So for any of you out there contemplating the Kampa Rally I'd say go for it. The fact ours was a preloved bargain at £125 used for 4 nights was a bonus.

We decided to have a Kampa Rally last year and only wanted the smaller one, but when I measured the van, the back uprights would have been resting on the black windows. So we bought a 260, which does not rest on the windows and I am really pleased with it,

Our tourer days are over and we have moved on to a Hobby Motorhome
Our Fiesta does come across one of our windows but it doesn't really make much difference. We dont use the back poles, and it's not a big issue - we don't get 'flapping' - I think my wife has got the hang of pegging out the flaps. (We share the pegging and she always does that bit.) Doesn't effect the window - and if we want to open up we just open one of the others.
Really glad you got on with the Rally, Sevanne. I have been impressed with Kampa generally - I was even looking ast the Kampa full awnings the other day????
We have the Kampa Rally 260. I found it was easy for me to put up on my own if oh was feeling crook. Plus we have 2 tables, 2 chairs, 4 stools ( they go under the table, when not in use ) and 2 storage boxes.
We love our Kampa 260 too, its mostly used for storage of shoes and wet coats ect, but sometimes OH will sit out there to read his paper, or if our grandaughter comes along with us, it becomes her playroom!
Its definately the easiest awning we have ever had to put up, and we have had several over our years of caravaning.

Ohh I think I saw you then Savanne! I saw the van and the birthday banners, but thought it couldnt have been you because of the awning (remembered the isabella hunt). Wish I'd just asked and risked making a fool of myself now!
Hope you had a great weekend, we stayed for the week, came home yesterday in all the rain.
ahhh what a shame, I know what you mean though about maybe feeling daft asking!! I would have stuck my name on the board outside the washing up but I couldnt find a pen. We did have an Isabella Minor but found it too small so replaced it with the kampa rally. Whereabouts were you pitched? We loved the site, I was so surprised how few pitches were taken. When we left last Monday it was almost deserted!!

Hi savanne. Good news about the Kampa Rally! I am a fan of Kampa products and the Rally awnings look good.
I'm interested though in you saying that you didn't get on with the Isabella Minor. Was it just that it was too small for you or was there anything else? Cheers.

It's a thumbs up from us too. We have just spent a very very wet weekend in North Wales. We arrived on Friday evening and just got the awning up before it started raining (lucky) and apart from Saturday afternoon it rained non-stop. Sunday it literally was non stop for 24 hours, we had a few drips but to be honest i'm surprised it withstood what with the non stop rain and the wind, we had the monsoon poles and the rear poles and it never moved so money well spent i'd say, i just need to dry it out now!! Come on sun!
Hi Merry, the size of the Isabella Minor was the main issue but it would be perfect for a couple or maybe we have too much junk! The other advantage of the Kampa is it only needs one person to put it up whereas we were both needed to do the Isabella. Mind you we did only put it up once so it might have got easier with practice. It was lovely quality but I still prefer the Kampa.

We were on the sports field, had half the field to ourselves and lovely views across to the hills and woods. You may have seen us carrying an inflatable kyak up to the lake (dont be impressed, it was a Lidl special!) with a portly black spaniel in tow.
Couldnt believe how quiet the site was, although they are full this week because of the show. It was our first time there, and we are also wondering if we can squeeze another visit it.
hi anniemac, we are looking at getting an inflatable kayak but am a bit bewildered by the choice!! Our kids loved the free canoes on the lake but it would be great to have our own. Dont think I saw you.

Cheers! I have been v happy without any awning this season but am now wondering about whether to get a porch one for September and next season. The Isabella Minor is on my shortlist at the moment, as are the Kampa Gala and Kampa Rally Pro 260 but I've only seen them in brochures and need to get out and see some actual ones first.
Thanks again

tbh if we'd bought new we'd have gone for the Rally Pro over the Rally but with the pot nearly empty after buying the van I couldnt resist my preloved bargain. We saw the Rally Pro at Highbridge and the difference in quality was obvious, the material was thicker.
