If its the Status range I think they are rated, when "on" at 35mA and are powered off the 12 volt system.
If it is one then they are connected by a jack plug but also are fitted with a power switch so can simply be turned off.
All the Status type are similar in design and appearance ...
... the 12v feed being a connector on the underside. If it' seems to be hardwired you could perhaps trace the wiring back and disconnect at source, but in all honestly the consumption is likely to be only mA's and not any concern.
We have two switches on ours,one is a low/high gain and the other is off/on.I would advise you to disconnect or switch off as if its like mine they do drain the battery over a period if the battery is connected.
If it's like that then the switch on the right is the on off. I've left ours on and it drained the battery in 2 weeks whilst the van was in storage. Wasn't happy when I didn't have a mover to help me hitch up. I didn't make that mistake again (Not to mention the alarm )

It only has one switch - and the light doesn't go off whatever way it's switched (if that makes sense ?!) Maybe the switch is faulty ?
I think we'll just disconnect it. No point taking the risk of draining the battery - we don't have a TV in the caravan ! Never want one either - the one in the house is getting used less & less as it's mainly cr*p that's on anyway
You must have one the very first/original Status supplies then I think. They had a single switch and should have been able to switch on/off so maybe your assumption of the switch being duff is right.
The earlier version did have a much higher consumption too, so trace the feed back to a convenient point and disconnect at source then it might prove more convenient to reconnect at a later date.
