Just purchased a 2 berth caravan and as with the design the lounge area converts to a sleeping area.
Want to keep cushions as pristine as possible.
What’s the best type of mattress topper to use.
Have seen one in Dunhlem mill which suggests ideal for students and caravans.. ???
Thank you

with you only having a 2 berth, the day time storage is you main issue, these things dont take much room up in the shop, until you release the beast from the bag! and you will never get it back to that size again!

if your caravan seats are comfy, then why not just make or buy a waterproof matteress cover and then put a sheet over that? buy a flat sheet and then tuck it in

We have a fixed bed but occasionally my mum comes with us and she sleeps on the front bed made up from the seating area. We bought a cheap but thick topper for her from B&M and she loves it. She says it is more comfortable than her bed at home. However, as has already been mentioned, these toppers are bigger than you would think and hard to store during the day. As we also have the fixed bed we just lifted the topper and laid it out on top of the fixed bed each morning but I know of other people who roll it up and store it in the shower. You need to think about the space you have for storage before you buy.

Have you thought about during the day? The beds/seats will probably get the most wear during the daytime rather than at night, in my opinion. Your weight is more concentrated in one place when you are sitting as opposed to when you are lying down, and you are likely to be wearing clothes that you would go out in. Maybe get some throws or cushion covers for daytime use?

We have a Compass Omega 432 small two berth, end kitchen with traditional layout, either a double or two singles.
have decided to make up singles, it's a fag heaving the cushions and bedding about so will leave the beds made up and put throws over during the day.

We mainly use the awning for sitting and eating.

We use a couple of Duvalay freshtec travel toppers and make up two single beds on our bailey pegasus 462. We tried have the double bed configuration but find two singles better if you need to use the loo at night, it saves climbing over your partner. Also our German shepherd likes to sleep on the floor between the beds and wakes us with a nice sloppy kiss first thing in the morning. We sometimes leave the beds made up as we use the awning for sitting in during the day.We were told always to turn the seat cushions over for sleeping on.

To keep the cushions in good condition turn them over when making up the bed. We use two old sleeping bags zipped together on top of the mattress as a topper.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.

We use ours as two singles too for exactly the same reasons as Johntog. Saves disturbing the other one if one of us has to get up.

I use fleece throws to cover seats From Tesco. in the day then at night I have dunelm mattress toppers .I think they were called rebound . I made covers for them from sheets . They just roll on top of seats then I have duvets Al just fit under side bed with two pillows. Very cosy and comfy .

We got a topper from Dunelm, it's stored under front seats along with a double quilt and the pillows. We have never seem to have a problem with space and it is really comfortable.
