well guys after many months of deliberation me and the hubby have finally bought our 1st caravan. Its a Bailey Ranger series 5 500/5 2008 and I have to say its amazing. Just wondered if any of you guys out there have any thoughts on this van and if anyone from the north east could recommend storage to me. We pick it up from the caravan shop in 2 weeks after what will probably be our last time in the tent :( Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't help with your storeage problem, just don't know the area, I'm afraid. It might be worth Googling 'CASSOA caravan storeage'. Cassoa regulate the security of sites and have an approved list of Gold, Silver and Bronze sites according to the level of security/quality.

Welcome to 'Tin-tent land' by the way. Congratulation on your new van - it will be brilliant. Oh, and welcome to UKCS and the addiction of this site. Many of us on here have OCD - Obsessive Caravan Disorder!!

Good luck with your new van we have a 2006 series 5 although it's not the same model as yours it's been an excellent van so far with only a couple of minor problems we have yet to find a van that would suite us better

I know there's one near us on the outskirts of Spennymoor. One near the Gretna near Newtown Ayecliffe. Other than that can't say - we're lucky - ours is outside the house.
We have a Bailey Pageant Bretagne series 5 I think and I just love it. I've been tidying it this afternoon before we go away next weekend and I took my cuppa out and sat in it with the cat planning the food to make and take.

We store ours at westerton just outside Spennymoor 24 hr security person there all the time secure gates on night`you can even wash it before you take it out about 280pounds ayear but well worth it. You can get it out any time of day or night we went two weeks ago at 11 pm to go on holiday no hassle at all just sign it out after man has seen identification.
