hello i was wondering if any body could help me with a bailey senator montanan 2000 model when we have the mains lead connected the 12v works fine but when we disconnect the 240 mains lead the battory status reads 0 the battoery has been fully charged but still no life with out the mains lead plugged in
Put a voltmeter across the battery with ehu disconnected. If voltage is right down despite having being on charge then the battery has probably had it.
Have you got the main switch set to van ( or main 12 volt switch on ) , other than that possibly a faulty battery charger , faulty relay . Try tracking from the battery with a multi-meter to see where the voltage stops .
Hoping it's just a fuse and you get it sorted OK. Mind let us know.
I had the same prob on my 2009 van and it was the charger thank goodness it was replaced under warranty.
BIG Thankyou to Compass as the couriered a replacement to us as we were away on holiday (My OH is 17th edition qualified so twas Ok for him to do the switch)

could be a dead cell in the battery,gives a flat reading 0.in other words nothing coming out at all.possible the 10 amp battery fuse has blown so check this first.connected to EHU the reading should be at 13.5 to 14 volts.a fully charged battery is at 12.7 volts.at 12.5 half charged.can you borrow a meter and check the battery voltage with it? do the 12 volt lights work?

What was the voltage on the battery when you checked it?
The battery is pretty flat at 11.5 volts , can you charge it off the van . It is starting to sound like a battery charger fault . Might be worth checking the power supply plug inside the charger hasn't come a drift .
It sounds like the battery has had it. Try removing battery from caravan & charging with separate charger. If battery won't hold charge then buy a new one.
