hi all

anyone renewed their subsription lateley with caravan club !!!

just had ours today,gone up £6,bit of a joke as well as putting up site fees by 7-8%,methinks cancellation is in order.

anyone else feels it is a bit steep.

Our renewals for both clubs were in Feb but TBH I don't know how much they were last year? For us the memberships are a no-brainer as we have the van insured through one & get the breakdown cover through the other so what we save on those more than covers the annual subs. Plus we enjoy the magazines, so it's worth it for us even if we never used the sites.

both have raised their prices this year ova rate of inflation!!!

and i thought they were to help members not pauper them!!

The Camping & Caravanning Club which is a smaller organization than the Caravan Club and has about 50% less sites

everywhere else has gone up , not just cc sites.

i think its worth it for the standard of site you get but do feel sorry for families of 4 / 5 or more who must be paying £30 a night and more peak season.

Worth it just for the exclusive use of their CL's. 8 or 9 quid a night and some superb locations. It's all we really use in the UK.

I think the CC membership is good value for money.

I rally, use cl's, have the caravan insured through them. Use the Red Pennant and have Mayday breakdown cover.

It is not good value if you don't use the facilities.

Both clubs offer good value, I think. Hardly the most expensive bit of caravanning.

Still a bargain IMO. Depends how much you use insurance , ferry bookings and Cls I suppose.

Will still pay it, think they are worth it for the standard you know you will get, I've paid alot more on a non CC site which was dire.
Use the mayday too, so it's good value still.

been a member of cc for six years ,it,s expensive to use theyer sites during school hol,s so this year booked a lovely site to take grandchildren facilitys as good as cc sites and £10 cheaper per night,thats a saving of £70 for us. might not renew this year,just feel we are being ripped off.

Can't be in either as have 5 children and they only allow up to 4! Mind you- could do a home alone!! Never needed it tbh. But wouldn't know how much I'd save as avoid sites that charge more than £25 a night. ( plus a dog!!)
