Hi - How do you get the cover off an awning light - '96 Abbey Piper 212?

The bulb has blown - I think!

The inside of the light is so dirty I can't see if there are any lugs holding it on.

Don't want to damage it taking it off - it's old so probably brittle (I know the feeling well).

Any suggestions welcome . . . .

I guess it's similar to my 1997 Abbey. The 'lenses' (for want of a better word) get brittle with age so be gentle with it... There are 4 lugs in all - 2 on the top edge and 2 on the bottom. I would suggest a bit of gentle warming by pouring warm / hot water over the 'lens' before trying to pry it off.
Good luck!

get onto a ladder and hold it firm with two hands, one hand each end of the lens, squeeze with both hands at the same time and it should come off.not easy. take care if on a ladder as it comes away at once.

Brilliant info - many thanks!

Michael - where did you get the Ultra light info? I noticed the Order No. and price.

I think I'll probably need a new one after I attempt "repairs" to the old one !
