Were sick to death of the plastic wine and beer glasses, which we got for safety in reasons along with melamine plates(were sick of those too).
Do any of you have a good way of storing your glasses. i would like some device to keep them in a locker nice and safe really, maybe there is a device or rack of some sort. do you guys have any advice.
Thanks
We store ours in one of the drawers in the end-locker. We kept the cardboard sleeves that the glasses were in when new (2001) and slot them back into those when we are ready for travel. We have the short-stemmed Arcoroc glasses and some beer glasses from the same range, bought from a French hypermarket.
I use wine glasses with low stems and bought some of those sectional sock drawer storage things from lakeland annd store them upside down in the cupboard.
I use the stemmed glasses given free from Stella Artois a few years back - came with there own individual box and hold half a pint. Saves you keep getting up to refill them!!
We have two of these in the cupboard above the fridge - they were in when we bought the caravan so no idea if they were there originally or whether the previous owner put them in - they are really handy. However I did break a glass when I was gasping for a glass of wine and it pinged out too quickly and smashed against the side of the vodka bottle, sending shards of glass all over the caravan - not good!
I just did a quick google and got the picture from here
we use the original packin - 4 glasses in a cardboard quartered box thing. Same size as the glasses so takes up no more room. Used this for a multitude of years travelling to the south of france / spain each summer Never a breakage in sight
We always use glass ones we store them where towels go under kids bed wrapped in towels,Even when we had accident and caravan was written of glass's didn't break
Socks ! get a pack for £5 and one glass in each hey presto ten glasses wrapped up safe and can all go into a cupboard, once there put all the socks into one and store. safe and not mixed up with your dirty ones.
I myself make frame holders the size of the cupboard base. with exact size cut outs for glasses, condiment bottle, and plates. all are then in one cupboard safe and to hand. but then I do have the facilities for making it correctly.
