Hi everyone, I want to fit a carpet runner on top of the existing fitted carpet in my caravan, I have tried double sided tape without success.. does anyone know of a product that would do the job, the runner is rubber backed..thank you in anticipation..

Probably need something like this to stop it 'creeping' (assuming that is your problem!) from John Lewis or Ikea.

If your fitted carpet is light coloured, you may find the rubber backing on the runner discolours (dark staining) it over time, so the extra anti-creep layer may help in preventing that.

This works well Self Adhesive Floor Carpet Protection / Film Dust Cover Protector. 100 metres on a roll these are stair width if you need wider it sticks to itself very well.   The 100 meters meeans you can replace it when you want. Comes off cleanly. Been using it for 10 years now.

We have got a Marvel Matt runner in ours, bought from Dunhelm Mill shop, they are thin and fully machine washable with a rubber backing, and dont move, even ontop of carpet.

Ours is over 5years old now, and still as good as new.

If you are looking to put carpet on top of carpet there will be movement of the pile on the bottom carpet as it is walked on.

We just use the runner and took the carpets out. The runner is fitted and rubber backed so no movement and no sticky stuff needed.
