How does the solar panel charge my Leisure battery whilst in storage does the control panel require leaving switched on ? Will this then enable me to view current levels on my App ?

Hi, My solar panel keeps the battery topped up when not in use and I don't have to leave anything switched on, i turn off power at the master switch.
The regulator on mine has a green flashing light on it whilst charging and solid green when charged,
