Interested in this Isabella awning on ebay, anyone know if these are the lighter poles by looking at them? Someone asked the seller who said they are the poles in the pic (I also have and am waiting for a reply still)
Those look like steel poles and exactly the same fittings that I had on my Bradcot awning. Don't take my word for it though, make sure that the seller confirms what they are. He should do if he is genuine.
I couldn't agree more. The amount of sellers on Ebay that insert little about the awning to me seem as though they are hiding something. I recently sold my Bradcot on Ebay and listed just about everything I could think of. The buyer collected and commented what a good ad it was as the actual size was placed in the search bar too which made it easier for potential buyers. Why they never put the size in the search bar beats me because it's the first thing that the buyer is interested in instead of trundling through god knows how many listings to find the size you require.
Yep, not putting the size in the search bar drives me mad. I wonder when things arent described well if they know what they are selling. Surely anyone who has put up their awning knows what sort of poles they are. How did you find your bradcot? I like the look of them but read something in a Caravan mag about the pegging ladders being time consuming and needing removing each time??

The photo isn't clear enough to be sure but they do a look a bit like our IXL (lightweight) poles. Someone else has asked about the poles (could've been you!) and they said as per photo but I'd just ask are they steel or IXL unlikely to be Carbon fibre on a 2006 I would have thought.
Hubby says yes you do have to remove the pegging ladders on the Bradcots but its not at all time consuming, just part of the job you get quicker at it and notice it less.
I used to have a Bradcot with my old caravan but now have a Dorema with my current caravan. I thought that the pegging ladders were quite good actually because all you have to do is take the ladders off the pegs and awning when you want to unzip the panels then vice-versa when you zip the panels back in again. It makes the awning stronger actually and although the Dorema has pegging ladders as well I thought that the zips on the Bradcot were more robust and heavy duty in comparison to the Dorema. The curtain fittings are better on the Dorema but the pole system is definitely better on the Bradcot. I would have had another Bradcot actually but they were a bit pricey so I bought this one new direct from Dorema in their factory clearance for just under £400.
had very nice reply saying they are the carbonfibre ones. Will have to wait and see how high the bidding goes and then decide if its worth it. Dont really know how much its worth.
