Hi everyone

Getting our van ready for Easter for first trip of the year and I was wondering what everyone does when they get on site.  I'm quite happy sitting chilling with books and magazines and the hubby is fixing something.  Love going for walks and meeting new people.  I find when you are at home working, everyone seems to have their heads down all the time, but it's so different when you are away in the van.  I just love it, totally relaxing and always depressed when leaving site.

A lot depends on the area we are staying in.  Usually go for the quieter sites as Oh works in a school and is surrounded by noise and activity most of the time.

We are both content to have a little trip out to look at the local area and then head back to the van and read, listen to music and just 'chill out'

We tend to go somewhere local on the Saturday and perhaps get lunch out. We usually get either a takeaway or a £10 dine in deal from M & S for dinner on Friday night and if the weathers nice sit out with a glass of wine and then read or watch DVD when its dark till bedtime. I can't wait for our first trip of the season!! .

Sometimes we just enjoy a slower pace of life and will spend the day just onsite reading, OH fiddling with this and that - re reading manuals for the onboard equipment (he does a lot of that) - we normally request a pitch near to the site play areas so we can keep an eye on the children playing and they feel as though they get a bit of freedom from us in turn.  We do also enjoy exploring the local area, but generally we do half days rather than all day unless its the beach or a big attraction.

We both enjoy walking and cycling so hope to do a bit more of that as the kids get older.  We have also become members of the National Trust this year so hope to take full advantage of it and visit places close to sites we are staying at.

enjoy the countryside or beach ,the peace and tranquility ,hate sites with clubs and entertainment ,usually means noise from our experience or kids left unattended ,a wee wine and total peace is the way to go
