Don't know if I'm looking for the impossible but would love to have fixed bunks (would ideally like 3 fixed bunks but too expensive) at the rear that has a window so that I'd have windows at both front and back end of caravan. Also need to get single axle. Also want to spend less the £7k.Impossible?

Thanks static but I've checked here and I can't work out from the diagram if there is a window in the back.

A Bailey Pageant Bretagne has fixed bunks across the back and each bunk has a small window. Only up to the series 6 though, the series 7 is 3 side bunks.

I had a bailey discovery 516 . I think the new model ,2006 on was called the 400. This had two fixed bunks on one side and a dinnette that went to single bed on other side if kids are small which ours are you put a bit of hardboard across and it became a double. Any way single axle and light weight and under your  budget i imagine. It had a small window at the back as well.

My Adria 542UK has fixed bunks and a window at the back. Its a 2006 model and think one like ours would cost £5 - 6K

Thanks Faulkner, you might be pleasantly surprised but the only adria 542uk I can see on ebay is £7295! The one on there has the rear window and a really good layout for kids and beds but seems only to have one window to the side on the front.

Thanks Taximan, now have my eye on a bailey discovery as the older ones seem within budget.

It will be difficult to find but the Geist Aktiv 560 has that setup.

I have the 565 which has an end bathroom instead...

Hi Nelmo, thanks for the tip. A really nice van but way beyond our means. The one I googled was a 5 berth for sale in Derbyshire and £11,000

Hi

I have the Adria Altea 542DK which is only twin bunk but I believe the Adria Altea 542DT has a tripple with a rear window.  I can certainly vouch for the quality as I have had it 2 years and 2 young boys have not yet managed to reck it....

Happy Hunting

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard, I'd love to get the Adria Altea 54dt but again the cheapest I can see is £11k (how do people afford these caravans??) Am now thinking avondale dart 556 might be the way to go.

We have the Geist 520 and that has the layout you would need with a rear window. These caravans seem to be the same as the Dethleffs 520 caravans so you might find something if you use that search.
