havent been to NEC but im sure its lots bigger than glasgow we went for it opening and left and hour before it closed for traffic purposes and still didnt see everything ,also agree fully with previous post take a packed lunch ,the eating places are very busy and cost a bomb hope you enjoy it
We'll be there - expecting to spend the whole day browsing. Hours and hours of fun but we'll probably take some food with us - our previous experiences have not been great and prices have been horrendous. May treat ourselves to one of the scrummy sausages tho I have my list of potential purchases ready - it's a slightly different one to that my OH holds

If you go on the Friday you'll be able to go to the Outdoor Leisure Show as well as the main Boat and Caravan Show. Might be a bit quieter than Saturday and Sunday.
Agree with Hacksaw Bob,go on Friday and pull in both events.Take a packed lunch as the food is expensive for what you get,but there are areas to sit and eat your own lunch. You wont see everything in a day, so plan what you want to see,and make a route pre to going You can get a plan of the shows from the NEC web site.

Bought our van at the October show a few years ago and did get a real bargain. However, be warned that there is so much to take in and if a serious buyer you can get carried away and overwhelmed by all the salesman speak. I would strongly suggest going for two days, that gives you an overnight to reflect on all the pros and cons. Although we love our van if we had done that I now know that we would have bought a different one.
In other words take your time.
Unless we get free tickets we will not bother. Food is very expensive and when walking around there is nowhere to sit unless you occupy a table at one of the many over priced restaurants.
Last year I hired a mobility scooter to get around so it was not too bad and we won free tickets, but the poor wife was knackered by the end of the day.
Unless you are planning a big purchase, you will not recoup your entrance fee on discounted goods within the show itself. We have never been very keen having to pay to spend money and to see accessories that you can see at any mainstream dealer.
Had a great day there yesterday. It was very quiet. Never known it so quiet and I go every year. We always go outside to eat in one of the cafes sooner than inside the actual halls. Just get your hand stamped so you can get back in. 2 Pasties and 2 coffees £9. hey ho we enjoy our day out and I aint taking a packed lunch!
I am not a bailey fan in general but I like the shape of the new ones.
I agree with the previous poster. I went there yesterday and it was very quiet and oh so very slightly smaller than previous shows with the accessories squeezed in amongst motor homes/awnings etc.
Still a great show and good to see some of the new vans. Bailey Acona and Lunar Lexon 550 looked particularly good (if you're after family vans).
Have to admit never seen so many sales people stood around doing nothing. Had a chat with one from Golden Castle in Gloucester and he said the week had been very quiet.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
