Hi,

We are thinking of visiting the Southwest Caravan & Motorhome Show at Exeter this weekend- we have never been before and were wondering if anybody else has been and would recommend a visit..............

Thanks

Nicky

Nicky

Been the last couple of years since this show "restarted".

There was less to see last year than the year before. Having said that we are off again Friday to meet friends there. I would say a couple of hours is all you need to see everything, having said that we always find its a friendly little show with quite a few vans to see and lots of motorhomes. There were less accessory stalls last year than the year before but hopefully there will be a few more this year.

Dave

Thanks Dave,

As the admission price isn't too bad we'll probably give it a whirl

Thanks again

Nicky

if its anything like the glasgow one it will be good ,i was impressed by the vans and lodges, tent section didnt have much going on ,apparently glasgow was bigger than before ,we only saw half what we could have and we were there most of the day ,if you look at it as a wee day out you will enjoy it ,it makes a change from sitting in,hope its a good day out for you

Just come back from the exeter show much the same as last year seems mainly motorhomes but I must say I was impressed with the EDGE caravan and its a local supplier but I dont think its for meas I didnt like the layout very much but the equipment list is very very impressivebut for 25.000+vat it should be. After all that a nice day out even though it cost me £7.40 for two donuts and coffees in paper cups and  I dont doubt I 'll be back for more next year

Went today and didn't think much of it to be honest - we were in and out in an hour. Service in the cafeteria's was atrocious - gave up in the end and went into Exeter for something to eat - half the price and double the quality. There was nothing at the show that caught my eye - liked the layout of the EDGE but thought the decor was hideous - so dark and dreary. The American RV's were even worse - pelmets and floral are really not my thing!

Think they should rename it Motorhome Show, very poor caravan turnout considering the amount of dealers in the area.
