God well I'm mad right now we have our van in storage been there 4 years and it goes up every year ok I understand things go up .... But first year 10 £ a year last year 30 extra get ready for this no notification found out by accident it's gone up by 120 quid ok I know vote with your feet but wow it's gone up more than diesel!!!!!

Hi simon23, I think they may be upping their prices to offset the recession,think they'll find it might just cause theirs, kill the goose that lays the golden egg so too speak,Ye a lod of parasites gorging them selfs on the few pleasures of others.

Have they done anything for hte extra cost, increased security, got a higher CaSSOA rating, added services? If not seems an unjust increase.

My local storage had a large increase , problem where demand exceeds supply.

no phil it is now 650 the increase is 120 and tony yes they have made the building bigger to take more units and have upgraded the site but nothing extra to actually be beneficial for the increase it was already cassoa gold by the site i dont mean the storage part i mean the bit you can stay on and pay extra for!!!!

Is it under cover parking? Still very expensive and i would be looking around. Maybe for an additional £400 you could find a seasonal site and save on fuel!

How old is your caravan? Do you need indoor storage?

Our caravan is a 1994 model and we pay £5 a week for storage on a large piece of land behind a house, similiar set up to a farm.

Use the google map search to find local sites, just look for loads of white roofs to spot the sites.

Our van is our pride and joy, it's our first and only had it 18months, however if it was a 2011 model I would want somewhere more secure than what we have, that is why I asked the age of yours.

However I wouldn't pay £650, the price around here seems to vary from £300 - £400 for secure storage.

Yes it was then last year it went to 530 so imagine my surprise when I was on there web site and seen itvat 650 yes new van yes indoors yes secure but this also explain why it is empty

A lot of CL's or CS's do caravan storage also - might be worth checking those in your area and buy a cover to wrap it up in the winter.
