looking on haven site today to book for easter wkend break 4 nights at seaview in dorset, first got a pleasant surprise when it came up as £43 for the 4 nights then i realised i had my dates wrong and easter was the next weekend checked again and the same pitch was £249 and there was meant to be a saving on that price of £109, i cant belive someone would pay that for 4 nights in your own tourer. i went to turkey last june for 10 nights halfboard for £500 for the 2 of us

I know full well how their prices alter dramatically from week to week but surprisingly enough some people will pay it. While people are prepared to pay this extortionate amount of money to Havens caravan and camp sites there's no chance of bringing their prices down to be competitive. We have been to Havens once before with our caravan and I don't think the entertainment is worth this kind of rip off price.

Totaly agree, Rip off prices, poor food in their so called dinning room, better off with motorway service food.

All the caravan club sites I would like to go to in the south are all booked for Easter. Seems you have to book as soon as they come available in December. I thought I was doing well booking mid January but no luck for us. :( The most annoying part is that they seem to be booked up for just one of the days over the 4 day period!!

Regarding the CC sites, have you phoned the sites you would like to stay on or just looked on their website?  The reason I ask is that last year the site we wanted to go to was showing fully booked on the website but i phoned them and they said they had space.  Might be worth giving it a try.  Good Luck

I have found cheaper for 5 nights staying in a static caravan (Eurocamp) for the same Easter weekend, including the ferry though you do need to add on the cost of petrol for that far though.  Some of the sites are more or less fully open including pools (I am shivering at the thought) bars/bistros etc along with the usual stuff you get there!
