After waiting a few weeks we finally managed a couple of nights away in the new caravan. Stopped at The Grange just outside Durham which was an easy run up the A1 so no stress in the towing, although a little apprehensive when listening to the windy weather forecast for the return.
Really pleased with it, all the bits work as they should and really comfy. Bought a 13 pin plug / socket and made up a cable so the leisure battery in the campervan can be utilised when we go without EHU. It does look kind a tiny compared with the bigger vans, but easy to man handle.
Only problem now is cleaning it cos it's in a storage yard and dos'nt look like a new van any more !.

The heating worked a treat, it warms the van up in a few minutes and I had it on the lowest setting during the night and it was just right, it was a lot milder than of late but I'm sure it would be more than enough in the colder weather. I only fired up the gas briefly to check it was working so can't really comment any more on that side of it.
Hint for cleaning is while in storage put awning tape in runners both sides and hey presto black marks no more. We bought that dry wash stuff too and after a thorough clean with the water (for the first occasion) we used that and now everything comes off well easy even red bird poo a breeze.
------------- Oh am loving the tin tent after campaining against it..........I was wrong.
Was kinda quiet (apart from the night time A1 traffic) guess about twenty units on the friday night

Thanks for the tip... I'll give that a go... shame I've not got an awning rail on the campervan
