I have recently purchased a 1999 Coachman Amara 450 and the stable type door is really stiff when opening and closing. I know that around the year 2003, many manufacturers started installing a one piece full door as I believe that they were encountering problems with the two piece door even after many years of manufacture and installation. Has anyone else had this problem with the stable type doors and did you manage to rectify the problem at all?

They did fit one piece doors to Bailey among others but they soon reverted to the stable doors

I use Triflow teflon lubricant on the door locks and hinges

WD40 attacks some plastics

  There are a couple of threads on this subject in the repairs/servicing sub-forum. Just do a search by typing in stiff hinges. Quite a lot of advice on the subject.

I may well try the WD40 method first to free off the four hinges and then apply some graphite grease after as suggested.
