I went out to do a bit of maintainence this morning and cant get into the van. The straps and zips are utterly frozen. Just going to have to put it off till later. NAAFI break time I think.
-10 here this morning Steve. The way the van sits is open to the weather/wind so taking wind chill into account, I dread to think what the temp is on the cover.
had the same problem with my car! I have a half cap over the roof as it is a convertible with a plastic rear window. One of the straps for the cover had lost its clip so oh had tied it round the wheel spokes bit. Took ages to untie as frozen and then found that the cover was also stuck to the mohair roof!
Went to take a look at my caravan in storage yesterday could not get in due to frozen lock but what concerned me was the amount of snow on the roof it was at least 12" deep promptly went home for stepladder and brush to remove snow,as that must have been a considerable weight bearing on the roof
My Mrs had to go up the ladder to clear the workshop roof before it caved in -unfortunately the caravan sits right next to it She did manage to miss the caravan but the dog turned into a giant snowball !
