We're looking to upgrade our caravan to a 6 berth fixed bed with side dinette and front seating area, either a single or twin axle with a budget of upto £10 k. Any info or suggestions would be welcome, cheers Jodie.
We have an Adria 532 uk which we bought this year for £8600.it is the 2008 model. We love it for the full sized fixed bunks -we changed from a bailey pageant Bretagne 6 cos our boys were outgrowing the narrow bunks. It is really sturdy and feels like a room rather than a corridor as it is wider. They are not popular in the uk cs they don't have microwaves and can be a bit sparse but it suits us. Downside is the front bed is a pig to get right but we leave it up in good weather and live in the awning. Great to tow
as they have stabilisers orsomething and you can pick them up cheap .worth a look.
Also check out the Sprite Quattro fb twin axle also trades as a special edition lowdhams sportstyle twin, excellant van we own, fixed bed at the back, mid dinette which converts to bunks and a seating area at the front that converts to 2 singles or a double , smallish washroom/toilet but we use the toilet and shower in the site block. Just had a great week in the isle of wight in ours
Try looking for a Bailey pageant Loire series 7 twin axle but looks a fantastic van and I have seen a couple for sale before on caravanfinder with a full awning within your budget..
We also have a Adria Altea 542uk, 5/6 berth and could not find fault with it apart from the front bed makeup but we have sorted that now. Its best described as Ikea on wheels. We have no oven, but its part of the holiday challenge to conjour up new ways of cooking. We are a family of four and have not found it to be a problem yet. Towing the van is extremely easy and it travels very well, stability is excellent due to its longer A frame. We have an alko hitch on as well. We have two porch awnings small and large, which we fully use all year round depending on the length of stay.
We have yet to find another van which measures up to the Adria interms of space and value for money.
We have just got back today from a cold weekend away, but with the heating on no problems in the van.
Therefore Adria very recommended by us. The new 2010/2011 is the 542 DT i think which again is great value for money at approx. 10.5K.
Happy hunting.
