I went to the Outer Hebs with a friend who slept in the awning. He took one look at the inner sleeping tent and said he'd rather have his own little tent. Which then went up inside the awning! Yes, condensation probs. Also tripping over tent pegs and guy ropes, although you wouldn't necessarily have that with a pop up tent.
In the end I asked him to put it up outside the awning, it was driving me mad. (only 240x240cms drive away awning here!) Still don't get what was wrong with the inner tent, other ppl have used it since and thought it was great! And no condensation probs.
I also have a gelert pop-up tent. Yes a bit of a wrestling match to get them back down again at first, but quite easy after a bit of practice. Same condensation probs though, unless you buy something a bit dearer with airing flaps or something. And you will need to put them on a groundsheet, they don't come with built-in ones!
On reflection, I think you'd be better off with a three birth inner, if it doesn't come with a divisional bit, make one from a sheet so they can have their own space.
We use a pop up tent in our awning for the dogs!!, Just collapse it down in the morning and voila! no space taken up. Got to admit they don't have airbeds so it is a bit easier. but for us works really well. There are plenty of thermarest copies about that are cheap alternatives to air beds.
Why don't you go and have a look at a Decathlon store? There they have 1 person pop-ups for £19.99 which have a groundsheet and a bedroom inner. They are 100cm [39,1/2 inches ] wide. so if your awning is at least 2 mtrs wide you could fit them both side by side, they have 3 vents and if inside the awning anyway you do not need to completely close both zip doors plus they only take seconds to fold away, [i know, i have some, - after a bit of practise. ] The big plus is; as kids are probably better at pitching and folding these than adults, they do most of the work.
We bought a 3 berth inner tent which took up at least half of the awning lol.
With that you could probably sew an old sheet into it to divide it up to make 2 seperate bedrooms for single airbeds as there was plenty of room left over after the double airbed was put in.
We soon moved on to a larger caravan but son didn't want to share with his sisters so we let him sleep in the awning but the inner tent took up too much room so we got him a cheap tent from Tesco and as that had air vents in the top it didn't suffer from condensation though the bed did get wet so we got him a pop up tent. It is only big enough for a single airbed even though it's meant to be a 2 berth. That really did suffer from condensation though so you would need to leave the zip a little undone to get some air into it overnight.
I realise that the zips on popups will need to be lowered as I slept in a single skin tent at Guide camp and got drenched!!

Am still weighing up the poss of a 3 bed 'room' poss in an annex, but having just found more damp in the 'van today, I may have to put spending on hold, and just keep thinking.
Am about to look at the decathlon site, to, for a bit of 'half term therapy' while my son and his freinds use the 'van as a den!!!

Well they have a bottom to them as they are all-in-one things really, but it's just the same as the outer roof and sides, not good non-breathable heavy duty stuff like you get on inner tents. So it needs to be put onto plastic, or water will come through with the pressure of body weight!
If they were inside an awning, you could leave the entrance open for airing.
i have recently done just what our asking. i had 2 innertents that took pretty much all the spare room (but we didnt mind as thats what the awning is for,for us that is) neither of the kids liked the inner tents said they were to big and prefered to use there pop up tents as there body heat warmed them alot quicker,only problem was there double air beds didnt fit.
as for space they took up simular room but a quick twist/push/wrestle and the tents were back in the bags for the day and there bedding was stored in boot of car or under seats in caravan
