Hi..New to all this, Just interested if anyone has the same 4x4, what caravan they're towing.
Find it way easier to look up caravan makes to see if the car will pull it rather than working out all the weight, size and 85% business.
Are twin axles totally out of the question and are there any awful points of owning a twin that a newbie isnt aware of..
Many thanks and eager to learn !!

We use the 3lt Terranno on our sterling Eccles Jewel, its a single axle but certainly not the lightest van, it pulled the van and a good few cases of plonk back from darkest South west france so I cant see you having any probs with towing and stopping a twin axle van, but you will still have to work out your 85%, and you may get a better response if you post in the towing section.  Happy twin axle vanning.

ahh, thanks for that.. didnt really pay much attention to the sub headings but yeah, your right so ive copied and pasted !!
Thats interesting cos other people seem to tow twins with a terrano but always seems to come over the 85% ratio when i stick it on the net..
does that mean their insurance is invalid ???

The 85% rule is a recommendation not the law,if you have not towed before it would be best to stick somewhere near it,although a Terrano is a very stable and capable tow car.
