Hi

have read a few tips on here  having real trouble  done the string measuring !

8.4 metres / 27.56 ft / 840.02888 cms

what size awning do i need ??

i can just see size 6 7 8 9  ect   grrrrrr !!!!!

Measuring your Van

Your awning measurement or 'A' measurement will be in your hand book for your caravan. If you don't have a hand book then the correct way to ascertain the 'A' measurement is to measure from X to Y, ground to ground, along the caravan channel (as shown by the dotted line on the diagram). Then use our table below to find the right size of awning for you.

Measuring for a Porch Awning

To measure your van for the correct height of porch awning, measure from the awning channel above the door down to the ground. Our porch awnings come in three different heights, 7' 0", 7' 6", 8' 0". Choose the height nearest to your measurement.

just use your 840 measurement, the "size" is largly irrelevant as different manufacturers use their own sizing scheme,

When I bought my new awning this year, all the webistes I looked on had the manufacturers "size" followed by the actual A measurement, just choose the size that your van falls into.
