Hi - Everyone

Just Recently Brought A 2005 Caravan In Very Good Condition Accept For A Small Yellow Patch On The Corner Of The Ceiling In The Fixed Bedroom, Looks Like Previous Owners Have Wiped A Mark Off Using Bleach And It As Caused It To Stain Theres No Damp And Its Bone Dry Just A Yellow Mark.

Does Anyone Know If You Can Emulsion The Ceilings In Caravans Or Can You Buy Special Paint For Caravan Ceilings, I Would Like To Clean It Up A Bit To Make It Look New Again.

Thanks - Craig

Hi Craig

Congratulations on your new van.  What model is it?

I have to say that the staining on the ceiling would set off warning bells to me.  It isn't easy to accidentally get a stain on the ceiling and why would you use bleach (unless the mark was mildewy?).

I would be very wary that it was a sign that water had entered at some point in the past, or condensation maybe?  I think I would monitor the area over the next few months and put off any plans to decorate over it for now.  I would also check the joints in the outside of the caravan near the stain - and the awning rails etc, just in case all is not completely sealed.
