went today and got the caravan ready for winter.drained the water system put cusions on the floor and covered them with old blankets.am looking for old wheels to swap over for the good road wheels then that will pretty much be her until next spring.
i know some of you will no doubt say way to early, but my OH isnt keeping too well right now with her being pregnant and also i haven got any holidays left this year until xmas so no point in putting it off we thought.
will still go down though and check her weekly maybe take a wee flask down and my paper and have a wee seat for half an hour lol

Hi fife-bloke,sorry to hear OH not to well at moment, hope she's better soon, i am still planning another trip away if only for two days next month,if not be doing the same putting van to bed for winter, and bring in all the cusions into house, van stored in drive way so lucky that way, cant get axle stands under van no accsess to one side, may have to get old wheels, or just move van a bit to take weight off the one spot on tyre, then when van put to bed, will drive with eyes closed so do not see any other van still on the go,only makes you a bit envious, hope you get a set of wheels, how was your trip in your new van.

hiya john it was brilliant.the van is really comfy and the build quality is excellent.took a wrong turning thanks tko my satnav and had no choice but to take the van over a rather caravan unfriendly road but we got there with no issues and had a great time.weather wasnt good but thats not the sites fault lol.
a good break though and were hoping to do thelakes again next year if we can get someone to watch the new baby for a few days.not taking a new born in a caravan, think it would be too cold

Hi fife-bloke,glad you enjoyed your trip and happy with your new van, I use the CC book guide for routes to sites, as satnav dont take into account route for the van, unless you get the truck satnav, you could get night heater and take new born with you, second thoughts leave baby with grand parents, they will love that, and you get some quiet time in between the OH missing her baby, PS make sure plenty of credit on the mobile.

its one worry less if the vans put to bed for the winter ,seems like theres a lot of other things going on for you at the moment,we have just done the same so roll on next year ,maybe get a few weeks in when its actually scortching weather ,think we will need to book for april or may as its downhill all the way after that!!,they seem to be the best months for some reason
