I have just purchased some caravan tripod stands so i can remove the wheels over winter.it says chassis or axel.is it advisable to leave on chassis for 3-4 months.im not worried about ins issues as the van is at my property behind a solid fence.

I put mine on axle stands but replace 1 wheel with an old one from breakers yard & put clamp on that to comply with insurance

Theres been more than 1 post on caravaning web site where thieves have broken through locked gates & several security devices to take their van. do'nt give the insurers an excuse not to pay out
