We are looking at getting a caravan. Had a look around some today at a dealer after looking at layouts online and have found a couple we really like. About 10 years old and 5 berths.
Obviously looking at general wear and tear and signs for damp, or damage is OK but what about anything we should look for that we may have missed? Sorry if it's been posted elsewhere I couldn't find any tips or posts.
I guess asking for any that you wouldn't get is going to be different for everyone but any insight would be great.
Also any ideas about storage and costs in South? Caravan will only go width ways across drive, shame as would like it outside for visitors.
Thanks once again.

I've not long brought mine after lots of viewing . I would say if your thinking of buying one with a fixed bed check the shower tray as I found some had hair line cracks in . Also check all electrics are working i.e. fridge on gas/ 240/ 24v as these sort of things will cost a small fortune I'm lead to believe.
Storage costs in the south can vary from £350 to £600 per year.
You don't say what car you are intending to tow with as this will make a difference. If you know someone who is a vanner take them with you to look at any van you have your eye on. A van that is 10 years old needs very careful investigation.
Buy from a good dealer who at least offers some warranty. Where are you in the south?
