Possibly going to look at one of these next week.

Of 1983/4 vintage but looks in good condition

Anything specific to look out for?

Thanks

A different make, they dont make them any more and parts will hard to get hold of, especially the shower trays that split around the plug holes

You won't get parts specifically made for any model of caravan of that vintage I would guess, but general items should be available. Just make sure you take your time to have a good look at everything. Check in every nook and cranny for damp. If possible look on the roof for any signs of damage. A nice little van in my opinion.

Thanks for replies so far.

Van has apparantly been serviced every year up until April 2010, since then it has not moved.

Would you be worried about towing it approx 65 miles?

Then I can get it to my local caravan service centre where they can give it a good check over

On a different note does anyone know of cheap (£10 - £15/month) caravan storage within say 20 miles of Derby?

Thanks

  Chris

Cant go wrong with an Avondale. They were made to last. You only have to look how many older vans are around! Parts are readily available. Even particular Avondale bits you can pick up from Magnum Motorhomes at Grimsby and they do a postal service! Like any older van check thoroughly for damp.
