G'day. We've just returned from a few relaxing days away in our van.But something has started to get under our skin. It's happening more and more. What is it? Loo casettes on wheels.Ok during the day, but why must some people drag them to the emptying point at 6.30 in the morning. It has happened twice just this week. One chap even pulled it back when he'd emptied it! we guess that he probably disturbed 20 odd people on holiday, having a well earned lie in. He was probably the same chap who slammed his car doors every time he put something in it and kept his engine running for 10 minutes before hitching up and making a run for it as soon as the security gates opened at 7.00 am. Is it grumpy old me, or has anyone else had the same experience?
Ppl letting their kids out to play on the park at 6am, then going back to their beds gets me. I can't go back to sleep once I'm disturbed. Yes, I guess I'm an old grump too, if I'm near enough to the offending ones, I deliberately make a noise, if they got me up and I'm awake, I guess they should be too. Apart from which, how safe is it letting kids go off to play on park equipment, then going back to sleep?
I would feel exactly the same if it had happened to me, WW. You're not the only one!
You could get some earplugs if site noise is a problem. Some people like getting about their business early others like to have a lie-in. There will always be some noise, whether its sheep, pigeons or campers. Perhaps he was going out for the day and wanted to get things done beforehand.
My point was not whether he was going out for the day early, we've all done that, it was the total inconsideration for his fellow campers. How heavy is an empty cassette? But he dragged it back to his van at 6.30 am. He was arumblin' I was agrumblin'.
Hi all, I would wait till he went to toilet block, later and follow him in,and while shaveing engage him in conversation, then ask "Did you hear that bloke this morning makeing all that racket while emptying his cassette at half past 6, what a inconsiderate moron, some people no consideration for others, Did he waken you up aswell".
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Hi, As for kids running around makeing noise at 6am, Iwould get with OH and walk past thier van and talk in loud voice "Oh look at those kids they are going to kill them selfs" dont think the parents will sleep after that. or just go to adult sites.

Yup Adult Only Sites are just bliss ! They usually have a no noise before 8.00am rule too ! Thank Goodness ! We nearly always end up sleeping late. Just wonderful !
qhen we last camped it was the oldest adult in our arie that maid the most noise ususaly strating about 5 am and then would moan ifany noise was made after 9 30 at night think they should have arias on sites for late and early risers lol

i thought most site rules did not allow from 11pm until 8 am , but you could seek out the offending van and throw some bread on the caravan roof , the birds will have field day on there roof
Ear plugs are not something i'd wear - if some git was trying to nick my car I want to hear them, if my dog wants a p*** I'd not hear him tell me. But I don't want to hear some selfish a$$hole's wheels/car doors/offspring/anything at unreasonably early or late hours. And btw anyone who annoyed me like that - well I wouldn't make them laugh... promise.
