Since we got our fixed bed in our brand new caravan we have noticed that we always end up in the middle of the bed. Now we are not 7 stone super models but surely this cannot be right. Our van is brand new and only we have slept on the bed, it is an Elddis Crusader so without sounding rude not a budget entry level van.
I noticed when going round a dealer at the weekend that virtually EVERY caravan with a fixed bed now has a centre support from head to foot attached to the slats to add support or an additional metal centre to the framework.
Clearly this indicates a design problem and I was wondering if anyone has managed to get this sorted post sale?
Do you roll to the middle?

Seriously though, we have had Compass Rallye 2007 & 2008 both with fixed beds and the matresses have been great although the Rallye 634 2008 (Elddis Crusader by another name) has a much more substantial bed frame!
Thanks for the replies. Its not a roll in from the word go its that we tend to wake up in the middle - something that doesnt usually happen at home. The Crusader / Rallye really are a cut above so we are surprised I must admit.
I know of two friends who both have Swift Challenger 540's and they have exactly the same problem - in fact one of them has just had the bed collapse under them LOL ... now that would have been a sight to see!
We have an Elddis Crusader Supper Sirocco with fix bed no probs with with it very comfortable much better than the previous one, we had a Sterling with the pull out and put all the cushions on etc.
Happy ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZs to all, no mater which way you sleep he he he
Just to update, we phoned Elddis and spoke to customer services.
They advised that they had identified this as a particular issue for some people and therefore are offering a free upgrade to add a centre support to stop the roll. Being done under warranty whilst van is in at the moment.
Good old Elddis .... no quibbles, they have simply sorted it.
