We have two different types of bracket for our roof poles; those supplied by Dorema (which are tightened by screw-clamp and damned awkward), and a set the same as the ones illustrated on this thread. The worst culprits are the centre and intermediate poles, as these locate horizontally into the bracket holes.
What I am looking at now, is to use the illustrated ones, but to thread the ends of the pole hooks and permanently fix them to the brackets with a nyloc nut. Then it's just a case of sliding the pole and bracket into position on the profile bead, and lock the button when correctly positioned.
