Could someone tell me where i can get some awning pole roof caravan pads make and model that dont slip out the hole whilst putting up the awning. i have a bradcot awning but cheap and nasty brakets. when i put my awning up one came out the hole and scratched the van. help please

We are going to order some soon as one did slide off after the first use but after the 2nd use it stayed on.

I'd hate to get on site and realise one was missing

We have two different types of bracket for our roof poles; those supplied by Dorema (which are tightened by screw-clamp and damned awkward), and a set the same as the ones illustrated on this thread.   The worst culprits are the centre and intermediate poles, as these locate horizontally into the bracket holes.

What I am looking at now, is to use the illustrated ones, but to thread the ends of the pole hooks and permanently fix them to the brackets with a nyloc nut.  Then it's just a case of sliding the pole and bracket into position on the profile bead, and lock the button when correctly positioned.

We had a Bradcot porch awning with the black pads which are fixed to the awning, the poles slotted into them-well in theory but not too good in practise!

We cut thethe pads off and bought standard round suckers which fitted snugly on the end of the poles.

We did check it before removing the pads from the awning!-It worked perfectly, and was much easier to erect.

Sction pads are not always reliable.  A friend of ours had one come adrift.  Sod's law being at work; his caravan table was set up in the awning and the pole dropped onto it, bashing a hole in the top skin of the table.
