 our old vans an ABI ACE award 12/ 2, so whats the company now. is ace and abi the same company or has someone elas got it now

The Ace name is owned by the Swift Group, although they stopped producing Ace branded vans about 2 years ago.

  ok thanks it has abi on some parts of the van and ace on others  why didnt they just call the van john or barry and stop this confuion lol

When your van was made ABI owned the name Ace, and sold the names on to Swift in 2000.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
