12v goes direct to the fan control board on the fan housing, then up to the control switch and finally back to the fan motor, check then, you have not pulled on the wiring to the switch and dislodged the connection under the switch

I have run direct feed up to motor and works fine, tryed
new switch no difference, checked feed up to switch that is ok, when i switch the switch over to manual and check with volt metre on the motor it is also showing that there is power there, but does not still run. completly stumped
dont no what to do next.

Ps: Could it still be the board or the loom, have eliminated the switch, although there seems to be power there. Help very much apresiated.

ps: Gary from arc systems as been brilliant trying to help me sort it out. With thanks

When you say power has to return to the motor does that mean the board could be faulty or the wiring loom, nothing else to try. With thanks

It would seem you've narrowed it down to a fault on the little control board in the fan housing?.
First take it out and inspect it for physical damage, particularly for burnt tracking where the plug connection for the loom up to the switch is and also the one for the motor.

If everything looks ok, or indeed if not? then ring me tomorrow and I'll send you a board down

Vey easy...it near enough falls out!

You may have a problem with the screws holding the black plastic cover, some of the earlier screws need a star bit screwdriver, later ones are normal Pozi drive

I would like to say thanks a lot to gary at ARC SYSTEMS  & mike at SB SOLUTIONS . Eventualy sorted it out after eliminating almost every thing,

Tryed new switch, pcb board,no luck, took motor out cleaned it  and bingo works a treat, I tryed heating with the fan on and it did not cut out with the new sensor fitted

Brilliant, I would just like to say the problems i had with the blower were nothing to do with me fitting of the sensor, It just Happend that the fault accured at the same time. All i can say is, get a new sensor and all your problems will be solved as far as your heating cutting out. Thanks again for all your help

I think the motor is on its way out, starts & stops, if i flick the fan with a pencil it starts up again,I think i could do with a new motor, i was told you could get bush kits for them, any one got any ideas, or possibly a new motor at the right price. With thanks

Well I don't know about the right price as they have never been cheap! the brush kits once made things cheaper but those have not been available for years.

As it happens and just in case, I got a motor in stock when you originally posted in May, I suppose you want it now?

Yes I should have said 'got a new motor in stock', I do though have several secondhand ones if you so wish?

Never though quote prices on-line, trouble is, someone will dig the post up two years later and expect nothings changed!!

It will be a faulty motor, your lucky it lasted till now
