Spent last few weeks away in van'. Water heater woring fine on 240v. Then drained down & moved sites. And 240v hot water wouldnt work...? Worked ok on gas, but tried everything but no 240v. Light on main panel is on, but no hot water.
Any ideas ? Is there a trip-switch/reset somewhere...?
I drained it down fairly hot, could that have affected it ? Never played up before.
Sometimes water heaters can be troublesome on electrics as they seem to be more sensitive to airlocks. The old Cascade heaters had reset buttons but I have never found one on the newer variety. What I have done in the past is first turn off water pump, disconnect the subnmersible pump, empty the waterheater tank, reconnnect the pump and turn on and see whether that is more successful in completely filling the tank, if it is it should heat up on electrics. Sometimes starting it on gas and them switching over to electrics also works. Hope you sort it out.
Our Abbey Warwick has a reset button at the end of the tank close to the mains cable connection but behind a small disc which pivots from the top ........ (about the size of a 10p piece) ........... we had a few outings without electric water heating till I tracked it down
