Hi i have a swift challenger 430 ,can anyone tell me if the water heater works on gas and electric,if so how do you switch to gas and does the heater turn off when heated up? got no info with the caravan ,thank you.

Usually there is a small dial theromstat (like a half ball)  which says something like Ultra Store. If it lights successfully it should have a solid light if it blinks there is a problem. All water heaters have a built in thermstat to prevent over heating. Don't for get to remove the burner cover on the outside of the van first.
