I have just been made redundant (finish anytime in next 3 months) after 10 years with the same company, and although I have been given a management consultant to help me continue my career, (i have been in the same game for 22 years) I am at the ' what do I really want to do' stage... and my head is spinning...

If I am honest,  I am looking for the safe bet and hoping that my consultant will help me find a position in my current careerpath, mainly down to the money , but part of me thinks 'oh sod it, do something you want to do' and that leads me to something I enjoy, that being caravans etc.

I have found a company 'MCEA' who do caravan service engineer training.

Has anyone had any experience of them?

Not sure if to do the course, try and find a job and do caravan servicing part time or just go for it on the caravan side, but need I need a certain level of income to pay the mortgage etc...confused.com

It might be an idea to find out how many folks are already doing this kind of work in your area already.

The established competition may well have saturated your area already.

Cheers guys, I have checked out the 'competition' around the area, and from experience struggled to find anyone who could service our van without 2 months notice!

Will check out other options ie college etc to concentrate more on the mechanical side of things on which I have some experience, on the business side of things I have a quite a lot of experience.
